what is the difference in beak colours in babies. I have seen some pictures with babies with normal coloured beaks and others with black. I was wondering because most of my babies have black beaks

Its all about melanin in the babies genetics. Those with black beaks have more melanin. The black fades off over a week or two and then is gone.

When the Black extends to the cere it take forever to fade LOL ...

 

My babies still have them and it is making it hard to sex them too
