I have this beautiful little chick who really stumps me with its gender. I keep thinking boy... but it also looks henish too - i am so confused

Definitely boy I would say, the reason part of it's cere looks darker is due to the black sheen some have as babies

im thinking boy too , cere looks exactly the same as bitey's ! but i thought to begin with he was a she too !

Very ambiguous....all earlier photos indicate hen

 

 

 

Remember that one Kaz, I believe she is in the Ceres post that I thought was a boy but a definite hen it reminds me of this one totally, am going with hen.

I am not going by the baby pics as I suck at that lol that was proven in Kaz's post on baby ceres but I remember this one when I was adding to the FAQ that Kaz had a baby just like this and I questioned here. The cere is not a smooth like a typical male it is more flakey like and flat.

This is another baby you remember Elly....it was mammoth who also looked like a boy but turned out to be a hen

She is a stunner Kaz. I can see the purply colour in her cere like what is in mine.... so hen then...

I didn't add the baby photos because the fluro light seems to be as bad as a camera flash at drowning out the colour.

 

this chick is definitely a boy, but looks like a hen under the fluro lights

Yes, I remember Kaz, in fact now that I am getting better lol, the first picture of Mammoth looks female - very white nasal rings, but has she progress to the 2nd picture it is very pink and the nasal rings don't show as much throwing us novices off. Good post Liv.
