Posted October 30, 200816 yr I bought some new birds in advance of Saturday. 3 hens and 1 cock. All are 08 birds, except cock, who is an 07 bird, though the breeder I got him from said he was born very late in the year, so he could have almost been an 08 bird. Anyway, here are some pics Green spangle opaline cock Albino Hen Sky Blue Opaline Spangle hen Grey Green Opaline Spangle Hen Some Pairs and Groups

October 30, 200816 yr Dave you always have awesome birds! These are no exceptions. They look great, good luck getting some beauties at the sale.
November 2, 200816 yr Author okay, first a few updates. 1) The white bird is not an albino, it is a double factor spangle, which I am ever happier about. 2) The green spangle cock did not look well, so i took him out of the cage to look him over. he has some poo stuck to feathers, though the poo all looked normal (he is a heavily feathered bird) and he was fluffed up a bit. His flight feathers also looked a little strange. To make a long story short, i took him to the vet, who gave him a long-lasting antibiotic, was concerned he was underweight a little so told me to does him up on roni-vet, checked his droppings and they all looked good, looked at his wings and said that the flights were growing back, so he ruled out french moult. Anyway, he is in quarantine, seperate from the others, with everyone going through a roni-vet treatment. Now 3) the girls are on their own now, but still call out to him, and he answers 4) 2 new additions - both 07 rung birds First is a yellow face type 2 opaline spangle hen . I would say her body colour is grey. If it was mauve, I think she would go "greener". She looks a little diluted, so i am thinking she is a cinnamon spangle Second is a cinnamon wing grey dominant pied clear flight hen. She has a good head on her. She is missing her longest tail feathers at the moment, but they are growing back, 3/4 of the way there. the photos are misleading, due to the flash and the angle. It looks like she is missing flights, but they are there, it is just they are completely white and do nto stand out well. You can see them a little in the blurry second shot. So there we go. I will try to take some better pics. These were all taken on my phone, but I just found my camera. Last place you look - right where it should have been - go figure. First let me update my sick bird. he is coming along, putting on weight, so hoping for the best Dave, is that sunflower seed and barley? Do you always have them on offer to your birds or was that just one of the many joys of quarantine and to help him put on some weight? and is the barley cooked or raw? Your new birds look great as always! Edited November 5, 200816 yr by JimmyBanks

Your new birds look great as always! It is hulled oats...advised by me when Dave asked about putting weight on this budgie. Not cooked.....raw seed. Edited November 5, 200816 yr by KAZ
