I have been for a fossic and am just wondering if these branches are safe as natural perches? I also collected a few grasses which I will photograph now and post here soon to see if they are safe also.

P.S. Just added the grasses, took me a while to resize to 640 x 480 on photobucket! My camera is bad at close ups will have to get new camera soon!

They look perfect. If you collected them from a public place... just be sure they didn't spray there. Give them a hose off and check for poo or other nasties. Your birds will LOVE you for them!

The grasses too neat?

The only one I'm questionable on is the first one of the 'grasses' which isn't actually a grass but the flower stalk of a broad leaf weed, might be okay, might not

 

After I do my weekly 'harvest in the next few days (depending on the weather) I'll take some photos for all to see to help compare things they have collected

Thankyou so much! There are just so many grasses out at the moment it would be a shame for it to go to waste and if I show my children 6 and 10 they can help me! The birdies will be so happy
