Posted October 26, 200816 yr Do you dress up? If you do what are you going to be? Do you have kids? What are they going to dress up and be? Personally, I don't dress up but I got our 1 dog a cute outfit and so we are going to use that as his Halloween Costume, I have to take a picture for the rescue he came from so I will post here when I take him for a walk..he looks adorable. Won't tell you what it is yet..what for the picture. My daughter is going to be a pirate and my son a football player.
October 26, 200816 yr Around here it's not all that big although you have reminded me to keep a few things in the cupboard just in case. My kids are having a halloween theme at kinder on Wednesday so I'm making them each a little ghost costume (read: easy ) Ummm...what day is it actually on??? The kinder teacher said they were having it early as Friday is a quiet day at kinder so is it on Friday or is it over the weekend? Edited October 26, 200816 yr by melbournebudgies
October 26, 200816 yr Australia has never been a halloween follower until recently I would say. There is so much halloween stock and costumes in the shops now its amazing !! I am only getting involved this year due to the hearses we have. My daughter is dressing as a sexy vampire she said. I belive I will be a CORPSE BRIDE and we will paint the town red and cruise till past midnite in the hearse.......giving out blood lollypops to the kids, and scaring them with the coffin in the hearse and a few spooky things.

October 26, 200816 yr Author We are too I think it is certain types of reglion, like Jehoviah Witness don't believe in any of the holidays . In fact, Halloween was based on the reglious All Saint's Day on Nov 1st.
October 27, 200816 yr I wish Halloween was bigger here!! It's great fun!! I remember as a kid, dressing up and knocking on doors for trick or treats - 99% of the people would tell us to go away I always have a big bowel of treats for any kids who come to my door  Edited October 27, 200816 yr by **Liv**

October 27, 200816 yr Hi, Unfortunately we have to go bowling on Friday nights, but we have walked just around the 2 courts near our court for the past 3 years, and on a whole people have been great, people who are not interested generally just don't open their door, but we have had quite a few people who have given the kids something little, ranging from apples to whole blocks of chocolate!!! My across the road neighbour is going to have my boys on Friday night whilst my husband and I go bowling and is going to dress them up. I'm having trouble copying photo's from photobucket at the moment, but I think I post this for now and try and sort some photos out and post them soon. If I had been going to walked the 2 courts near us this year I was going to put flyers in their letter boxes explaining how much effort we go to, with dressing up etc and that it would be lovely if they would put an enclosed "Halloween Friendly" sign on their letter boxes so we would know which houses to approach. October 27, 200816 yr Hooray!!! Thanks to all those who help me work out how to copy photos now that it's not as simple as just hitting the IMG code, I now realize that I need to hit the code then right click on the highlighted section and hit copy then return to the forum right click again and then finally click on paste, thanks again. October 27, 200816 yr I'm glad you figured it out. Those photos are awesome. Did you do the makeup???
October 27, 200816 yr No my neighbour did it, my son come running in from across the road and asked if it was alright if Julie from across the road could trialed his make-up for halloween which of course I didn't have a problem and about 5 mins later he came flying back in done , talk about having the nack for face make-up. That would have taken me ages and wouldn't have looked anywhere near as good.
October 27, 200816 yr Wow .... How clever is your neighbour ... Looks great !!! I think that the letter box sign is terrific idea!!!!
