Thanks everyone. I am really excited about these two as well. She loves herself as you can see by her pose.

He loves anything with a heart beat - he is the father of nearly all my budgies from summer. he is a real stud with the ladies

I have not used her before, even though i have had her for about 2 years, so i am really hoping all goes well with her.

;) what a pretty couple ;)

Good luck with it all mate ... Are you going to be ringing the chicks?

I hope to ring them - Depends if I can order and receive the rings in time...

Get straight onto your club and order uncodeds for now Liv....ASAP.

Too late to order codeds for this year.

I believe it means that they are blank Jimmy vs having all the number on it like what club, year and a breeders number..that is my educated guess

Sadly these two were rushed into breeding (wont do that again :raincloud: ) and their only chick had such servely splayed legs that she couldn't even shuffle around the bottom of the cage... she had to be euthinased :(

Pop, the cock is retired as he is a lot smaller than most of my show birds ( ) and the hen is prepping for breeding as she has an amazing lutino cock bird to go with :D

Hey Liv, what do you mean they were "rushed' into breeding?

I normally increase calcium, vitimins, fresh food and excersise etc etc etc before breeding, and with them i didnt do any of that so i am blaming that for the splayed legs. It could have been the hen sitting too tight too... but i think it was all a bit rushed.

Oh right, I understand. Yes, you do have to prepare your birds. I'm currently 'holding' mine back till I'm happy their calcium intake is sufficient. :raincloud:
