Posted October 23, 200816 yr I got some wonderful news today. That was that Matthews CAT scan didnt reveal anything sinister in fact the doctor said it was "perfectly normal" and I am over the moon. I have probably been a bit slack and hadnt checked on my Princess chicks for 2 or 3 days due to the stress of all the worry about Matt. Well I opened the peep hole in their nest box to find that every single chick was dead. I have a feeling that because the parents want to breed again they have let their chicks starve. Today has been a day of elation and also one of devastation.

October 23, 200816 yr Author Thanks Liv. I feel very guilty having not checked the chicks EVERY day. Being pre-occupied or tired just doesnt cut it, I have learnt one thing out of this and thats to check them without fail evey day.
October 23, 200816 yr I am really sorry to hear about your chicks Jenene. Its heartbreaking when you see the lost life and lost potential. One of our Mums stopped feeding yesterday too and I was faced with raising them. BUT today their father has begun feeding them in the nestbox with their brothers and sisters....so fingers crossed. I am really happy your sons results are so good
October 23, 200816 yr Oh Mate ... Sorry for the loss of the chicks ..... Also I could feel the fear in your post when you told us about Matt needing a CAT scan .... I would have been stressed out and worried to bits as well ...... But it is so good to hear that he is okay!
