Baby Budgie

My budgie has 5 babies at the moment,

The oldest is 3 weeks old an the youngest is 2 weeks old.

This afternoon i went in the aviary to check on them, The youngest i noticed had a bit of dried up blood all on its leg.

Would this be because the older babies keep on standing on it or would it be the mother.

I am worried about this one because every time i look in the nesting box the other 4 babies run to the end of the box and the younger one stays right at the front.

It sort of like they arent friends with it or something.

What should i do?

If a parent attacks its usually the head or shoulders. Have you fully inspected the chick...wiped away the blood....and looked at the area ? have you had a good look inside the nestbox in case there is anything sharp in there that could have scraped the chicks leg.

Chicks dont seperate in a nesting box and cast siblings aside so I doubt it is that. Do some more checking for more information and get back to us

I agree with Kaz, and photos of the chick could help to

I would be more inclined to think that they are all running away from you, and the other chick doesn't run for some reason. Either because it's sick or injured, has a bit of a more dopey personality, or just isn't scared of you. I don't think the other birds would reject it if it chose to run along with them too.

Not sure what's going on but i agree with the others that it'd be a good idea to check over the chick closely
