November 6, 200816 yr Author they look excellent I love baby parrots!!! will you be re-homing any or keeping them all for future breeding? Ken wants to keep the two that came from the green mother who is split blue and the blue father. The other 5 will be rehomed.
November 6, 200816 yr Author Adorable, is there one that is on it's back under that whole pack? Yes...looks like it. There's always one that wants to be different

November 6, 200816 yr Author First blue princess chick hatched this morning. Two more fertile eggs in that nestbox...experienced mother, new father ( Bandit ).
November 8, 200816 yr Author The blue princess chick hatched yesterday wasnt being fed by its mother, so I just fed it and put it in another princesses nestbox. She ( the foster mother ) is sitting on clear eggs, so hopefully she will raise this chick and the other two yet to hatch in the other nestbox. Fingers crossed.
November 10, 200816 yr Author The first blue princess baby died, and a second blue princess baby hatched. Its mother wasnt feeding it either so it is fostered and being fed by the foster mother. The green princess babies have begun to fledge.....so far three out of seven flying around the aviary today and giving their parents headaches trying to keep up with them. I will try and get photos later
November 10, 200816 yr Aww so sorry about the chick. Hope all goes well with the second chick. Looking forward to photos
November 10, 200816 yr Author Here the three are flying about the aviary         Edited November 10, 200816 yr by KAZ
November 10, 200816 yr Author WOW!!! They are so pretty. i love the pink in them Me too....the green ones look fantastic when they fly as they spread their tail out and all the pink shows up.
November 10, 200816 yr beautiful parrots Kaz, I don't think I have seen them around here at least in pet shops.
November 10, 200816 yr Author I wont sell these to anyone who doesnt have a huge aviary for them either Elly. Some people put the larger parrots in too confined a space. I wonder of Princesses are available in the U.S ?
November 10, 200816 yr Maybe not? When I did a quick search and put in US everything still came up AU.
November 10, 200816 yr Author They are also known as  Princess Parrots aka Princess of Wales, Queen Alexandra Parrot, Queen Alexandra's Parakeet, Spinifex Parrot, Rose Throated Parrot, Yellow Princess Parrots   We have the greens and the blues and Ken would like to get another colour. To do that he needs to divide up his aviary a little and maybe rehome the barrabands. The best thing about Princess Parrots is even the aviary ones are gentle and tame...they are a very sweet natured bird. Ken would like a pair of the yellow ones but they are $1000 each.
November 10, 200816 yr Author Oh my, the yellow ones are stunning!! :D That is the lutino version of a princess parrot. red eyes but both yellow and pink on the body
November 10, 200816 yr Oh my, the yellow ones are stunning!! That is the lutino version of a princess parrot. red eyes but both yellow and pink on the body  I love this post. It's so tempting to build an aviary like Kens' - but we do not have the room.  I could see myself getting Lovebirds and Princess Parrots ....  Luckily I can live vicariously through this thread
November 10, 200816 yr Well that took some time to read & view. Nice babies there Kaz. Looks like Spring has sprung & is doing Ken & you & your birds well. I have to agree with some of the other members ... some of them babies is soooooooooooooo ugly ! Well they are ugly cute, only the face a Mama & Papa can love !
