First Show Babies

Featured Replies

I brought the babies in from the aviary in preparation for my first unbroken cap show (which is likely to be cancelled due to weather). I put them in show cages and took pictures. My camera doesnt shoot fast enough to get in between pics, so as soon as I shoot and they move and I try to shoot again when they are in the right position, the have moved again! It's a little frustrating, but here they are anyway, not the best shots but you get an idea of how they are going.

Darius and Grace's babies

The oldest - yf grey spangle

The middle baby - grey spangle

The youngest - nick named Miss Feisty, cause she used to run over to nip me when I put my hand in the cage. Fearless! lol

Two of the three of Adonis and Cinny's babies. I am not entering the middle baby, he is happy in the aviary.

The oldest - dark green cinnamon spangle

Fantastic. What I find amazing is the BLUE cere on the violet who still has all his bars !!

He was almost hatched with a blue cere. Pics of a few weeks ago, show his cere being a very deep purple. Hopefully it says something about his virility to come!!! :)

An adult coloured cere in a UBC can be a reason to disqualify, but they usually also take into account the iris rings ( in this case a lack of ) ..........so showing the little violet spangle should be okay. Proof of hatching date may come into it.

They are stunning Sunnie!!! its amazing how they pose in a show cage! Good luck on Saturday and i REALLY REALLY REALLY hope the weather cools down for you

They are all really gorgeous Sunnie, I just love the spangles :rip: They babies look so cute when they do that show budgie pose :(

Hi Sunnie, Your show babies are georgous, and I hope you have lots of fun showing them :rip: , like I did with my first 2, have you got a show coming up soon?

Wow! They look fantastic Sunnie! They are very cute, good luck with the show, fingers crossed it will be fine partly cloudy and a top of 25... perfect. :rip:

Good luck Sunnie, they are stunning. The spangle markings on the last one is very defined :rip:. I have no doubt you will do wonderfully.
