Wet Patches Under The Drinker

So I was admiring my aviary this morning ahead of laying the sand (delivery any minute now!) when I noticed a wet patch under the guinea pig drinker :bump:

Here's what I've done to fix it:

Take 2 plastic containers and glue them together & then drill holes in the side about 1 cm down from the lip and thread through a piece of cord:

Attach to aviary below drinker:

SO simple! :( I'm hoping that the excess drips will fall into the container and the birds will drink from that too.

Now, if I find the budgies are pooing in it as they drink I will attach the lid and drill a hole right under the trajectory of the drip.

Or pop a small funnel underneath to catch the drips, poke it through the wire so it funnels the drips to the outside :bump:

ANOTHER great idea :(

great thinking renee. How do you find your birds go drinking out of the guinea pig drinker? I was going to get one and then thought nah...
