Posted October 21, 200816 yr So we had our club meeting on Sunday(SWBC), numbers were down, only about 95 birds benched - but over 50 were in the Novice class. I was glad my main competitor rocked up as it's no fun competing against yourself and we enjoyed a playful banter while we waited for the results. I did okay, a few birds took out Best Variety and one of my nicest Spangles took out Best Novice. But anyway, the point of this post is to share my trophies with you as I'm going to have to start giving them back soon .... unless I turn around and win them right back .... I should be so lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky! :bliss: Edited October 21, 200816 yr by renee
October 21, 200816 yr If they are perpetual type trophies Neat, it depends on the arrangement of the organisation giving them
October 21, 200816 yr Author Do you have to give trophy's back ?? I didn't know that .... I'm afraid so ... your name and year you win is added on a little plaque on the trophy but after a year it goes back to the Club.
October 21, 200816 yr very cool on your results renee, I am sure you will do just fine and keep your trophies
October 21, 200816 yr Author very cool on your results renee, I am sure you will do just fine and keep your trophies If ONLY!
October 21, 200816 yr Thats stink that you have to give your trophies back... they are YOUR trophies, YOU won them... I'd be skipping the country! lol! Actually Budgie clubs are probably non for profit organisations... donate a trophy to them and get it as a tax right off.... please see a taxation adviser before doing this as you may not be able to do it
October 21, 200816 yr Very cool results! its a shame you cant keep the trophies though - what a real bummer!
October 21, 200816 yr Well done Renee At least you have pictures of your trophies. I would be making a trophy album
October 21, 200816 yr WOW! that's great Renee, you have done so well congratulations. When my son won heaps of trophies at his pony club meet a couple of them were perpetual ones but they gave him a smaller one to keep for ever with his details on it. That's what your club should do too. Well I thinks so anyway because if it was me i would like to keep something for the memory
