Posted October 19, 200816 yr Just wondering if anyone has tried to grow there own millet before? If so how did it turn out?
October 19, 200816 yr I throw the discard seed into spare pots and some garden beds, cover with some soil and let it do its own thing. Pretty soon I have some great seeding greens for the birds and they just love it. Too easy and no real mystery. It uses up the throwaway seed that birds inevitably leave behind in their dishes. October 19, 200816 yr Author thats exactly what I was thinking about that and it got me onto the millet... On the topic of greens do you wait for the plant to produce seeds again or do you just give them the greens from the plant??

There is always discard seed to keep it going again.
October 19, 200816 yr I have accidentally grown it ..LOL by throwing the seed out on to the lawn ( was a garden area at the old house) It grew about 15 - 25 cm tall with a massive green millet on the top of it
