October 19, 200816 yr I normally name birds after their personalities or parentage, but sometimes it is hard. A lot of people are going to go "he is green and gold, so name him ozzie" or some variation. Yes, he is green and gold, but to me, it is more of the green and gold we saw in the 70' and 80's, so I would go with a name that kind of comes from that era. As a little boy, you can name him after one of those great cricketers of that era, like DK Lillee, AB( Alan Border) or Boonie (David Boone), or even something like Retro. I actually like the name Retro. He has the whole hypercolour t-shirt thing going on, with him being blue but since he is a YF2, looking green. After thinking about it, I say Retro.

October 19, 200816 yr hypercolour was heat activated and Supercolour were the water activated ones... Everytime I go to the shops I expect to see them on sale again... I hate 80's fashion!!!! Back on topic though, I'm not really good with names but I like Dave's idea of going with an 80's theme... maybe Boy George would be good :rofl: I really have no idea...

You didn't mention quarantine but I assume you that is where he is but I like to put it out there for new members that quarantine is essential . Congrats!
October 19, 200816 yr I like the name Retro too. I also like Kaz's suggestion of Fresno, it sounds in my head like refreshing, outdoorsie type of name. I have no idea what Fresno is/means, but I think that's a cute name for your cute lil fella too :rofl:

October 20, 200816 yr I had a tough time naming my new feathered friends too! We decided we'd have a naming system for our future animals though! We have naming systems for computers, we use planets. But for the naming systems for our animals we've decided on the Phonetic alphabet. So I named the budgie I got yesterday Alpha Just some suggestions to try and find groups of things you can take names from.
