What's Up With Neat

Hey all ... I am sorry if I have sounded rude or mean etc in any of my posts the last 2 days ...

I have a few issues at home with family members being diagnosed with illnesses and also you may be aware of with the snakes ...

Well the icing on the cake was Jake was bitten ... He was Vomiting and drooling ... I called him to come to me and walked up to me then walked away back to the grass area and continued to vomit ......

Dave called the Vet - and told them what was happening with Jake and then advised them that on Thursday Both Him and JD had encounters with the Red Belly ... They were both checked over and no obvious signs of any bites .... But Yesterday Jake became very ill ....

Jake was given a anti venom and fluids via IV .. But needed to be monitored for the next 24 hours so he was then taken to Strathfield vet hospital .....

at 11.30 Last night his heart rate had finally lowered and his perky self was beginning to show again ..

We called the hospital this morning to see how he was going - His vitals are good - Blood testes were taken Kidney's are good however there is blood in his urine ....He needs to be kept monitored for another 24 hours .

To some of you Jake is only a dog and to pay $1,480 on medical bills may seem MAD - But he is apart of my family, Like I have always said ALL pets deserve a right to proper treatment ....

I don't know how we are going to get that amount but we will .....

We are now looking at moving - THANK THE GODS! - The kids are little prisoners here and for such out doorsy kids they will go mad being cooped up inside! ....

We have an appointment on Monday to view a House .. I really hope that it is going to be okay for us ...

My kids, My husband ( not by paper :hap: ) are my life along with my pets I couldn't imagine what I would do if Dave or the Kids was bitten ..

So I have a lot of stress going on -- So please if you can put up with me .. Really I mean no malice in what I say ..... I am not a person that Says the "Right" things or shows my feelings alot ...

But well that is what is happening with me ....

Thanks for the vent

Neat,

i am sorry to hear jake was bitten, and that he is on the mend. I feel the same way about my pets. When I had hadmy youngest dog Tess for all of a week, she ended up at Strathfield as well with a bone in her throat. Cost me $2500, so I know how u feel.

Sorry to hear all the hard times you are going through.

Good luck with it all. Let me know if I can help, i am a stones throw away at Wattle Grove.

Poor Neaty poo!

Oh well we might be helping each other move! Poor little jakey Im sure he will be back to his crazy self in no time!

Things will get better always remember that! Chin up matey

Neat :hap: What a stressful time for you. Be very sure we have not taken anything you have said to heart...in actual fact I cannot recall you upsetting anyone with anything you have posted. Anytime you have stressful issues giving you grief...share and we will try and halve your load.

Terrible, terrible thing about the snakes and your beloved dog. Fingers crossed and biggest hugs for full recoveries all round, and hope your new home will be everything your heart desires. :angel1:

Wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more... you always know where I am if you need moi :hap:

i am so sorry to hear about Jake and all the other issues you are dealing with. I hope you find somewhere nice and safe to live so the kids can have the freedom to run around outside.

Neat, what a tough week you have had :hap:

I haven't noticed any thing bad in you posts either.

I am thinking of you :D

Hey Neat,

I know its hard but keep your chin up :hap: , just think about the brilliant new place and your dogs :dog: and kids playing together in the back yard - no snakes to have to worry about. And make sure you "vent" away, because we're ALL here to support you :D .

We are a pretty tough group of mods we can handle it :P, I hope and pray that everyone here if they had an issue would go directly to that person or discuss it first and I have not found any of your post anymore offense then usually (joke joke...laughter to follow)...anyways you know we LOVE YOU!! I am glad Jake is okay...I know that was your worry when you posted the post but you know what I would have done the same EXACT thing in your shoes if that happened to my "family member".

If you need anything you know were to find me.

left out a word

Good to hear Neat. Snakes can be a worry, many times we came home to snakes on the backdoorstep or in the bird aviary (dugites) or at the other farm tiger snakes and they were breeding around that house.. little babies everywhere. Luckily havent lost a dog yet.

Good luck with the house hunting
