October 18, 200816 yr Author More the $$ that might be the issue I think Jenene, other wise I'd have him in a snap. How much does a major go for these days? I have seen them elsewhere selling for $650 upwards but I only charge $550 (or less if they are friends of mine!)
October 18, 200816 yr Figured they were around that. Given I will be a poor non-working person in two weeks I think my DH would kill me Good luck finding him a perfect home though
October 18, 200816 yr Author You don't know what they want for them in the U.S. thousands.... :ohmygod:
October 19, 200816 yr Leadbeater's Cockatoo, Cacatua leadbeateri - Also known as the Major Mitchell's Cockatoo. Generally regarded as one of the most attractive cockatoos, being mainly pink with a large, spectacularly colored crest, these birds are available in the US, but rare and, being highly in demand, rather expensive. I've seen them as low as $2,000 each, but around $3,000 is more common. http://www.geocities.com/RainForest/Vines/.../cockatoos.html The bigger parrots are very pricey here in the U.S.
October 19, 200816 yr Author Here is a picture of my chick at 1 day old and also one of his parents.....
