Posted October 11, 200816 yr My insiders Latte, scooter and Cookie are having a change around. Due to the fact the Latte and Scooter have never really bonded to me and it takes me about 5 minuets to catch them every time i put them back in their cage, I have decided to give them a trial period in the aviary. On the other hand, Cookie is becoming a real character and always flying to me and wanting to play etc so I am planning to teach him to talk and do tricks - he has really come out of his shell since his first moult. Anyway, I just thought i would share that Latte and Scooter have joined the aviary flock for now. Scooter thinks it's alright. Latte is not so keen as she came inside straight from the nest box and has been spoilt ever since Edited October 16, 200816 yr by Neat typo
October 13, 200816 yr Good luck with that. I'm sure they will be fine back in the aviary... good luck with the training of Cookie Edited October 16, 200816 yr by Neat Changed avairy to aviary
October 13, 200816 yr Author They are doing well with their change. Scooter and Latte are fitting in nicely, they didn't leave each other side for the first 2 days, but now they are starting to feel more comfortable and making new friends :fly: Cookie has taken it the hardest, he has been quiet and a bit sooky the last two days - Although this morning he is sitting on the play gym singing his little heart out, which is a lovely way to start the day Cookie is starting to come when i call him, and he loves playing with his little ball - sooooo cute to watch I will try and get some photos and/or video of these sometime
October 14, 200816 yr Good to hear they are all settling well to their changes. I am sure Scooter and Latte will love aviary life. Scooter sure has come a long way hasnt he!!
October 14, 200816 yr Author Good to hear they are all settling well to their changes. I am sure Scooter and Latte will love aviary life. Scooter sure has come a long way hasnt he!! He sure has. He was in a pet shop listed as "free" because he was getting picked on by all the other budgies in the shop, and he couldn't stand on a perch because of "flat feet" which is really rickets. After 6 months of socialisation and TLC he has come around to being a really happy and healthy boy - his disability is barely noticeable now I have even seen him having a crack at the females in the aviary. He is my smallest budgie, but he definitely makes up for his size with personality Edited October 14, 200816 yr by **Liv**
October 15, 200816 yr I forgot about that... wow thats great that he is settling in with the other birds! its amazing the power of love. :laughter:
