Number one Number two Number three Number four A disruptive and banned former member of this forum has stated that these chicks are NOT from these parents and that I am trying to pull a swifty. October 10, 200816 yr What good would it do you to pull a swifty?? They do look like the style of chicks you would get from those 2 birds- if you look at their features. I have a pair identical- (colours and features) and the chicks that hatched are of similar type. Wow so much happens here and I am oblivious to it all

Putting down another member or trying to discredit them for own personal gain is just uncalled for. What would you have to gain by "faking a clutch"? In my opinion you are an admired member of this site, it would only be misleading to all that are trying to learn if this was the case and I DON'T BELIEVE THAT YOU WOULD DO THAT. You are one of the most informative members on this site and when I see a reply from you I take it seriously, just as I do with Neville, Neat, Elly, Libby, Liv, MB... (I'm sure I missed some). Don't let pettiness from one person pee on your parade... I don't know enough about genetics, but to me these chicks look like "mini mums and dads"... and they look great !

October 10, 200816 yr These chicks are all consistant with what you'd expect from this pair provided that the cock bird is split for opaline. Without knowing the dark factor of the grey green the only green shade that you couldn't get would be olive (and there are no olives among the chicks). They are are beautiful family, you should be proud of them

October 11, 200816 yr I know exactly what you mean THK, I have one with brown hair, brown eyes and light olive skin and one with blonde hair, blue ees and very pale skin, we joke that he's 'the posties' since he is so different from the rest of us It does show though that no matter what you expect there will always be the exceptions to the rule when strange genes crop up from generations back. Looking at those birds though Kaz I would say there are no strange genes there, looks just what you would expect from such a nice pair :party0011:
October 12, 200816 yr lol Kaz I am not sure about those babies, I think that I will have to fly all the over to WA to bring them and the babies back to Vic to do a very closely monitored breeding experiment with them! I would love to get those Genes in my avairy!!!!! Please Mr I knowsomuch, Envy is a curse and jealousy is much worse and childish behaviour will get you NO where in life.
