I love Yellow face type 1 cobalt bleu birds. Cosmo is sucha cute little bird. You are very lucky. he looks like he has a great little personality too

Thank you! You both reckon YF1? I thought some people had said YF2 when I first posted pics. He is pretty much that colour in real life, but does have a greenish tinge in some lights, and he has green feathers above his tail. The yellow is also through his wings. I'm not too sure- never had a yellowface before

no, I'm not seeing YF2? I do see the tinge of yellow in his wings. Best way to tell is to look UNDER his wings. Are the feathers under his wings white/blue, if so he is cobalt YF 1. YF1 allows his true color (cobalt) to still shine through on his body. If he were YF2 his body color would be washed over and appear to be some shade of "green" color (seafoam green= sky blue YF2, etc...). Also he looks young and may not have finished his first molt yet? I have a YF2 sky blue he is a looker but I love Cosmo, I have a soft spot for YF1 birds!!
