Posted October 4, 200816 yr Came home today and found my bird had chewed the paper in the bottom of her cage , she's never done this before . Then just as I was about to write this thread she went down there again and started chewing and scratching the same section of paper . Any clue's ? Is she getting ready to lay an egg ? If so what should I do ? Cheers

October 4, 200816 yr Its good fun for them too - but its best to take it out incase she thinks about making a nest - last thing you want its eggs
October 4, 200816 yr You can also increase her cover hours for 1 week to 12-14 hours, that reduces the hormones in play.
