Oh No! Mum has decided she wants to move so I cant build my new aviary, but we might not move for another 6-12 months. But good news... Mum said that when we move I can build my aviary as big as I want (as long as I pay for it)

So now I have to wait for ages!

Sorry to hear that....but now you have heaps of time to save money for the aviary and to plan what it will be like :D

I agree. So sorry you have to wait, but now you can make it bigger and better than it was ever going to be :D

I agree... it just might be a blessing. You can save and plan for what your really want instead of just making do with the space you have. I live in USA PA and don't have the luxury of outdoor aviary so I had to settle for small and simple. You will be happier in the end of getting what you want from the get go. Good luck when it happens and keep us updated.

I know how frustrating it is when a avairy is being built not to imagine how hard it must be for you having to wait so long before you can even start. Hopefully the time passes quickly for you and good luck they can be very invovled and take longer than you think but the end result will be worth it. :happy-dancing:

I do have a suggestion that will at least allow you to enjoy your birds while waiting. I made my aviary indoor aviary out of a storage unit shelf I bought from Lowes and wire. As I have paired off birds for breeding and realized that some other birds needed to be seperated I have found that my aviary is now split into 4 equal sections. So, what I'm suggesting is make a nice small aviary out of one of these units like I did and then not to waste the money you spend on that you can later use this unit for breeding cages in your new aviary set up. Here's a picture of my aviary before I split it into 4 sections (minus the nesting boxes if you don't plan to colony breed)...

and here is a photo now of the aviary after I turned into 4 breeding cages (minus all the "pretties" on it to help blend it into my living room) just by adding the shelves back to the unit.

It just might be something to think about.... because in the long run once you build your aviary this piece won't be a waste... :D
