Can you guys have a look at this ebay item. I bid on it based on the assumption that it was for the stac shown in the photo and nowhere in the ad does it say the price was per sheet, is that the impression you guys get from it? Now that it has ended the bloke has sent me a message saying "I hope you realise the rice was per sheet " I certainly won't be paying that per sheet, I could buy new for that price :yelling:

I would assume that it was for the lot as well not per sheet. I would say he is just trying to screw you for some money!

The thing is if it was something I could get posted I would happily fight it but I'm gonna have to go and pick it up off the guy, which is kinda scary as he may get kranky with me

 

He is probably a builder or something and he would have got this all for FREE as it is used to protect building wood during shipping so he should be happy with whatever he gets for it

I had the same problem with the pavers I won the bid on ... But it wasn't the fact of how many pavers there was

it was how many people WON the bid

I have just been in & had a look at the ebay item,If you go in & look at his feed back page,#290244668806 he stated 30 sheets, on this lot he did'nt state how many sheets,He has no come back on you.How much dose he want you to pay.Iwould put it into despute if he will not execpt your bid.Fire off a email to ebay & let them handle it,tell them the other # number with the sheet number & this # had no number of sheets,& they should make him accept your bid of $25.

So agree Macka... he has nothing to stand on!!! Let ebay deal with him, and if you get the lot for $25, I'd be taking back up with you... BIG back up!!!

In the meantime...save the photo. Blow it up and count the sheets.

I guess it comes down to how badly you want it... I live in Geelong and could come with you... BUT I wouldn't scare a fly off a mouse poo!!! :mouse: (and therefor wouldn't provide much back up!!!)

Spoke to my OH and he reckons the guy's trying to take me for a ride. If it comes to it and I can push pick up back a week or two I might be able to organise it for when he's in town and he's over six foot tall and built like a brick sh*thouse (there's one for you Elly :bliss: ) so he'd be good back up

I would vote for going with your OH, it will take a few weeks to fight it through ebay anyway and your OH scares me and I know him!

Yeah but if you met him in a dark alley you would serious think twice and that and he's in the navy and his nick name and geez scared the c**p out of me the first time I met him! (No offence to your OH but dude he is large and navy like and well scarey!)

Well basically I spoke to the guy, he offerred to give them to me cheap (but not at the price that I bid) and I told him I didn't want to drive all the way to Geelong for the price he was offering. I suggested that in future he should be clear in his listings as to what is actually for sale and make sure he states it so that there is no confusion. I'm just gonna let it go as he seems like a nice bloke and it really is more hassle than it's worth.
