Could some one please tell me what is the ideal width and length (full length from head crown to tail feather tip and also from head crown to legs and then legs to tail feather tip) for both pet and show type budgies.

This article in our FAQ goes over the average weight for pet vs show budgie Weighing Your Budgie , how long I believe the average from head to tip of the tail is 12 inches but I am sure others will come on and tell us for sure.

This is what I have found in our FAQ article

 

Size:

Native - 180mm including 95mm tail

Show - 220mm including tail up to 240mm

 

Which means that

 

Pet Type:

From head to tail tip - 7.2" long

From head to legs - 3.4" long

 

Show Type:

From head to tail tip - 9.6" long

From head to legs - 8.8" long

 

Whether my above understanding is correct?

 

Also what is the ideal width of the both Pet and Show type Budgies.
