My budgie has 7 eggs, the 7th laid today. Is this alot for a first time? Will she cope? She seems to be a fantastic mum with a fantastic hubby too.

I have found that often the first couple may be sterile and often the last couple won't hatch if they hatch a long time after the first ones as they get dirty. Have you candled them yet to see if the older ones are fertile?

yes I candled them, and they all look different, one is like half red, some have white lines in them.

Can you see veins in them? The ones that are only new might not show anything yet but at four days old they should have nice visible red veins and then they will develop a mass which is the chick
