chicks are about 1.5 weeks old but hens eyes look damaged is from feeding or should i look into it further (one looks to be closed now) male is fine.???

Did you have a look at the eye? Is there a little cut or a bit of husk / dust / dirt that is in there!

Agree with a photo being needed Is she fine looking or fluffy and pooey ????

Welcome to the forums, when you take a close up make sure your camera is on the macro setting (indicated by a flower sometimes) close the shutter 1/2 way and let it focus, try to take the picture in natural light vs a flash.

okay Now when you same damage how DAMAGED is it!

Is it bleeding - Are you colony breeding?

Is it swollen or a different colour?

If in doubt please seek medical attention- as it could get infected .

Cant get a good picture. Some one at works dad breeds budgies and said the male could be the problem. Kept a eye on them both and the male seemed to play rough especially around the head.I put the male in another cage and bathed hens eyes with a week saline solution. Eyes look a bit better and both open. Thanks
