September 22, 200816 yr Ah yes easier to see in that photo Kaz, he's a beauty (I'm not fond of the opaline spangle combo so I'm pleased to hear he's not )
September 22, 200816 yr Author Very nice!!!! She is STUNNING Thats the hen in my other thread about the hen with ten eggs
September 22, 200816 yr They look great Kaz! Well done I have to agree with Liv about the hen, I think she's my fav
September 22, 200816 yr Author They look great Kaz! Well done I have to agree with Liv about the hen, I think she's my fav The hen would get nowhere on a showbench as she falls between the cracks of what standard she is. BUT she has great length and that can be bred into something else.
September 22, 200816 yr They are gorgeous Kaz this one the body color is too bright to be a dilute, I would say this is a Grey Green Dominant Pied and would go with Full Body Greywing. I agree there is a degree of dilution but not 80% like in a dilute. But that is me. Edited September 22, 200816 yr by Elly
September 22, 200816 yr Definately not a greywing. Why Pie? I know it doesn't have the grey on the tail and edges but we also looking at dominant pied playing a part in here so that can create a different effect. This is also the same bird that is under Kaz's What I'm I.
September 23, 200816 yr Nice birds Kaz, I especially like the Grey Green from the auction...& did you notice Neat even saying a Green bird is stunning.
September 23, 200816 yr Author Nice birds Kaz, I especially like the Grey Green from the auction...& did you notice Neat even saying a Green bird is stunning. Neat is being taken over by the show budgie brigade. She will learn to appreciate a good green bird just like I had to
September 23, 200816 yr haha Elly I wrote that then thought ..what would I know and didnt post it!! Obviously my computer kept it and posted it later on oops! I was going to say not a full colour greywing as the colours are very dull.
September 23, 200816 yr I say full body because the body doesn't look 50% diluted, the dullness comes from the grey and the green mixed together. That is my theory.
