Thanks Kaz all the ones I had seen had the light under the floor so never thought of hanging one. Hmmm now more research needed but yours looks sweet.

My hubby grows baby cacti inside in a heated germination box - it's lovely and cozy warm on the top so I now sit a wooden hospital cage on it and there is no bright lights so the bird can rest peacefully. :P

Smart Idea Liv. I found one for sale but it was $200 and same idea as the link I posted and I am not going to pay that for something I can Build under $100 but it does give me an idea.

I have a friend who is great with building things (he is a builder by trade and helped me with my breeding room) maybe see how much it will cost for him to build them and see how cheap we can make them so if anyone is close to me and wants one I will see if I can do them as cheap as possible.

He is also going to have a look at a breeding Box Pippi and I picked up over the weekend and see about making them if he can I am going to get him to make me a set of about 10 and phase my cages out I think....

If you installed the light in the top behind a piece of dark perspex(heat safe) it would allow heat but lessen the light ^_^

Yes that is the same one that I have made, off the same web site.

I love it and have saved some of my best birds.

But if I was to make enother one I would make it a litle bit deeper and put wire on the front so If the bird was only a little bit sick you could take the glass off oe pull it up a bit.

Here is mine
