This is a photo of my beautiful boy Sam (right) a few weeks after i got him and Rhea the day i bought her home. Sam was my first budgie and i love him to bits! he is such a funny bird. he wakes me up if i haven't gone to see him before 9:30 in the morning... I got Rhea for my brother but her and Sam became friends straight away so i kidnapped her and my brother isn't ever getting her back! *laughs evilly* (sorry, i think its a bit big, but i dunno how to fix it..)

You have a grey normal cock and your hen I'm not too sure on to be honest, she has the cheek patches of a grey, yet then has the body colour/face of a YF bird, but YF over grey should not create the green haha, who knows, i'll wait for Neville's word on it

Yellow over grey can make the green affect so Libby I believe you are right. Did you buy the birds at the same time? If so I bet they are sibling too .

 

They are very cute, have you entered their picture in the Budgie of the Month Contest if not you should.

Treat Sam for the beginnings of scaley face.

Sam is a normal grey as stated and I believe Rhea to be a goldenface. What other colours are showing under her wings, tail and body ?

I don't think that these are related - He looks more like a Show type rather then a Pet type and she look either pet or 1/2 show

Green Violet?? i don't think any other colours are showing on her.. but i'm not sure, i'll have a look at her when i get home tomorrow. oh, but on the front of her where the little feather is sticking out in the photo, the feathers there are sorta blueish.. i did quarantine them.

actually the blue isn't on the front of her.. it's on the underside of her tail.
