Hearses, Hotrods And Motorbikes

Took Ms Lily ( our new 1964 cadillac hearse from Las Vegas ) and Morgana ( our 1959 Cadillac Hearse ) to an event yesterday 100 kms up the coast to a Motorcycle Muster event we had been invited to.

We were pushed to the limit to get Ms Lily ready...new fabric upholstery, electrics done, new rechromed and repaired rear bumper, carbie rebuilt etc. Luckily we had assistance from a lovely couple Nick and Nicole to help us in the final preparation.

Ms Lily is not registered yet but she went on a permit for the day. We needed to blow some cobwebs out of her and test run prior to rego.

We were scared she would end up broken down on the side of the road as the most she had been driven in months was home from the port. Bad weather yesterday...rain all the way there...then the skies cleared. Ms Lily drove like a dream. Ken says she drives better than the 59....Morgana. No issues.

We got two "trophies"..........one for bringing the biggest cars and another for bringing the second hearse as a bonus extra. LOL

The event was filmed for a TV segment on Foxtel shortly and an interview was done out of the back of our 59. There will be film segments on TV and photos in magazines.

It was a fun day out with no dramas. Ms Lily is now ready for rego.

Morgana is the purply blue one and Ms Lily is the white one

I'm so pleased it went well. Both your girls look brilliant! Considering what you were working with, Ms Lily is stunning. Thanks for sharing.

The best part was how welcome we were made to feel. We were treated like celebrities just because we went to extra effort to bring the cars to this event.

Well done to get her finished, they both look great. Love the trophies!

The first picture of the hotrods looks like a picture I have of the cars on the old rubbish tip on the station- but those ones are in much better nic!

Just fabulous Kaz & Ken, the "girls" look great, I love the bumper sticker on Ms Lily and I love the name you gave the car it so fits!!! Thanks for all the pictures..I am going to show them to Tim.

With the name Morgana...its partly from our surname Morgan and also is taken from the witch queen sister to king Arthur in the fables. With Ms lily...she has had that name her whole life so we did not want to change that.

Kaz I noticed a large wet patch, there in front of Lilly, she did'nt wet herself in all the excitement. :D

Funniest thing Pie...it was the very next consecutive plate out of the box when she went over the pits for rego. No choice...that was it. Ken got an extra set for his charger, but they will be going on Ms Lily so both hearses have the 1cry plates.

Miss kaz she is soo pretty.

I am pretty sure you will need me to test ride her one day to see if she is as comfy as Morgana!
