Posted September 12, 200816 yr okay, so Sunny (my green recessvie pied hen that had the clutch of 5 eggs that were no good) is in a new cage with my other batchorlette to recondition and rest before trying to breed again. She seems to be doing well. Although her is not showing much interest yet, I have re-paired Raine (Skyblue Greywing Split to Recessive Cock) with Pearl (my Grey Opaline Hen). IF they decide they like each other and move forward can you tell me the offspring out come? % if possible? Thanks so much Christine
September 12, 200816 yr (Skyblue Greywing Split to Recessive Cock) with Pearl (my Grey Opaline Hen). Greywings ONLY if the hen is split for Greywing Recessive Pieds ONLY if the hen is split for R. Pied Male offspring will be split for opaline 50% Greys and 50% Blues if the hen is a Single Factor Grey, if she is a double factor Grey you will have 100% Greys Good Luck.

I FORGOT.... my cock is also yellow face two, sorry that makes a big difference... I'm sure that will change things? Here are pics of them... so you can see their colors better. http://i337.photobucket.com/albums/n400/ch...5a/DSCN3793.jpg http://i337.photobucket.com/albums/n400/ch...5a/DSCN3063.jpg
September 12, 200816 yr Yellow face Skyblue Greywing Split to Recessive Cock mated to a Grey Opaline Hen No greywings, opalines or recessive pieds unless the other bird is split for these mutations To get the percentages accurate we would need to know the dark factor of the hen but If she has a dark factor of one and she is a single factor grey: 25% Yellow face grey 12.5% Yellow face sky blue 12.5% Yellow face cobalt 12.5% Sky blue 12.5% Cobalt 25% Grey If the hens dark factor is zero then there won't be any cobalt. If her dark factor is two then there won't be any sky blue. Of course if either of the pair are split for other mutations it will alter the result

September 12, 200816 yr she looks like a medium gray so she probably has 1 dark factor but you will know better if you get cobalt chicks. It is if she is a Double Factor Grey that will affect all the chicks and they will all be grays.

If she has NO F Grey then there will be Sky Blue and Grey If she has SF Grey then there will be Sky Blue, Cobalt and Grey If she has DF Grey then there will be Grey and Cobalt Did I get that right?
September 12, 200816 yr If she has NO F Grey then there will be Sky Blue and Grey - She is a Gray factor that is why she is Gray. If she has SF Grey then there will be Sky Blue, Cobalt and Grey - There will be Sky Blues and Grey 50/50 there will ONLY be cobalts if she is carrying a DARK factor (that is different then the grey factor), she looks like she is carrying 1 because of the darkness of the grey. If she has DF Grey then there will be Grey and Cobalt - If she is a Double Factor Grey you will have 100% Single Factor Greys - all the babies will be grey no blues.

OOOOOHHHHHH, okay I think I understand now. Thank you Elly.
