My First Cabinet Pairs.

Featured Replies

kaz had a great twin pair. They were very cute... from memory one was male one was female. the male lived longer than the female... but they were both very cute. Correct me if I'm wrong at anytime Kaz...
Steel got First in dom pieds at the show yesterday and the judge commended me on how good he was. He has gained some size and length. I will get a new picture of him. When the judge was told he was the twin out on an egg, he was extrememly surprised that he had grown so well.
Thanks Jimmy,I wonder whether the cock twin was the one listed on the show results page of the name "Steel" I found this post late last night, B) Pretty Cool looking bird.
Thats him. He got first in dom pieds in the show yesterday ;)

This is not their blood baby as this pair had all clear eggs - but because she is such a great mum i decided to give her one egg from 3 pairs as a safety net in case anything went wrong

The only problem is i don't know which pair the eggs are from because i was silly and didn't mark the eggs :D Oh well, I should know when they feather up :P

Woooohooooo!! Congrats on Lady's first baby!! Now after the impatience of waiting for them to hatch, is the impatience for them to start to feather up!! LOL

sounds like you are having a great time there with your breeding... Look forward to seeing the results...

Great Stuff Liv... Sorry about the bubs ...

Congrats on the babies, you must be so so so so so so so so so so happy.

Congratulations on your chicks  I am so proud of Lady :hap: Great photos, I love seeing how they grow. I can't wait to see them get their feathers through

Just a quick update - I lost this chick to these parents today :D

It has been developing a hard lump in it's crop for the last 3 days - i first noticed it 2 days ago when it wasn't being fed by the parents and the hard lump was about the size of a pea. I fostered the chick to another hen, who also didn't feed it. Today i tried to feed the chick myself, but it couldn't swallow the formula as the lump was so large and blocked the esophagus. It was possibly a birth defect or possibly a tumor - it was so fast growing and solid, the poor little chick didn't have a chance :(
