okay so I come back from being away and I hoped that I would have a bub or two but no, none. In fact I am missing an egg! I can't find any sign of it, so going to have to ask my other half when he gets home cause storm might have thrown it out and it broke and he cleaned it up but I checked the bin and everything.

 

I had the hatch date for Monday and Tuesday and it's wednesday and nothing. I am sure I candled them right but maybe I didn't, now I am worried and stressed and feeling ill.

Nope counting from the date she started to sit. Fl;ame started sitting/incubating after the third egg was layed so was counting from then. But I know my maths is most likey out so it just the waiting game now

18 is minimum days to count from date of incubation ...can be anywhere up to 22 days. At least they will be hatching while you are home

I have a naked jelly bean! and Flame is all "Look mum, look what I did! Wow it moves!" So my first has hatched now just have to wait for the rest, OH I have a baby... I am a granma!

CONGRATULATIONS Grandma...didn't know you were a Budgie...yeah don't stress out AV lots of things could have happened with that egg, it may have hatched & the chick died, something might have been wrong with it & Mum ate it up so many things can go wrong, just be patient & enjoy the successes.

Wow! I now how exciting it is to get the first hatched, I now have 3 babies all about 2-3 weeks old, but am eagerly awaiting for another clutch to start hatching, I also thought that they would have started by now by nothing as yet although I haven't as yet checked on them today so who knows. Anyway hopefully I will see you tonight at the meeting and we can catch up.

P.S.-(Couldn't help myself just shot out to the garage and no still nothing)

Flame and Blue - Flame is a Lutino and Blue I thought was a Ressive Pied but then he has Iris rings so that threw a spanner in the works I think you said he was a DF pied grrr I have it written down somewhere!

 

As for eye colour not sure will check tonight when I get home.

I now have two, the two other nest I think are going to be a right off but will leave for another week. One hen is not spending alot of time in there anymore so i think something scared her off the nest :hap:

I had a full clutch of 6 2 were born the rest were all due to hatch and she got scared of her nest too they were all stone cold
