Who Rings There Birds

Well id like to put the question as to who rings there birds do you use Coded rings, Uncoded rings,Closed rings, Splits,Club rings, shop bought rings? do you ring all your birds or just some.

My self i use "Closed Coded' in the breeding room and some splits in the aviary if i have any Colony Breeds :fear

I use personal coded club rings on all show types bred, other than that I now don't ring anything.

I used to ring pet types also, but not anymore.

I used coloured metal split rings. The only reason I ring them is for my identification purposes. My first clutch had green rings, second had red rings, and my last 'the Opaline's' had varying colours and on different legs so I could tell them apart. :D

I ring mine with split metal rings just so I can identify each clutch so as not to interbreed.

I have just started to ring my birds. Rung my first clutch with coded club metal rings. I also have some coloured split rings for birds I know have hidden split genetics - tcbs, cinnamon etc

I USE CODED RINGS BUT FOR SPLITS i USE, PLASTIC SPLIT RINGS FOR VARIOUS VARIETIES, WHITE FOR COCK BIRDS SPLIT FOR ALBINO, PURPLE FOR LACEWING SPLITS, YELLOW FOR LUTINOS, WHATEVER BLOWS YOUR HAIR BACK AS LONG AS YOU HAVE RECORDS OF SOME DESCRIPTION IF YOU DON'T HAVE RECORDS YOUR JUST BREEDING FOR THE FUN OF IT (NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT!)

Yes, I ring my birds too.

I have coded rings I get from my club. I have thought about using split rings, maybe I'll start next year .... in the meantime I rely on record keeping! :D

I use Coded Club Rings PR 1W

*coughs :D

I will be ringing mine once I start breeding with the Shows.

Apart from that the pet Types I don't ...

* Will keep in mind the idea of using colored rings for Split varieties ..WHAT A GREAT IDEA
