A New Cage - Is It Good?

Featured Replies

Hi,

My two budgies have what we hope is a good cage already, but we would like to upgrade to a larger one for them, and perhaps introduce some more budgies.

Would this be suitable? It looks good to us, as it has a flat roof with lots of horizontal space.

If this is a good cage, how many budgies would be happy in it? I would be happy if it could accomodate another pair.

Thanks,

Kenny

Definatly enough adequate space for two birds, not sure on two pairs however, depends on if you're planning to breed and if the pairs are compatible, may be a few hen fights in there, but would otherwise fit 4 birds fine

I think 4 budgies would be fine in this size cage if you're not planning on breeding them in it.

Size wise 4 would fit however I don't like wodden cages as they will chew on it and you have to watch they don't do a prison break!

Totally agree here...wooden is not good for durability...wont last looking nice for very long....will be chewed up in no time flat :)

I just know how they destroy perches and i would hate for you to come home one day and fine all your birds sitting on a curtin rail looking at you going "But Mum we swear the hole in the cage was always there!"

You can CLICK HERE for Cage Set-up examples of our member and it may give you a good idea an ideal cage along with wher they purchased it from :P
