August 16, 200817 yr im gonna take a stab and say the male is a yellowface type 2 blue, mabye sky blue and the female is a sky blue pied? of some sort i dont know what kind of chicks you would get off them
August 16, 200817 yr Author Hi thanks, Um I dont have a really good photo of her back but heres one shes on the branch on the left
August 16, 200817 yr The boy is a YF blue type 2 as stated. The hen is a cinnamon cobalt dominant pied. Cinnamon dilutes body colour and makes it look a few shades lighter and if cobalt it appears as skyblue due to the cinnamon. You must always check for colour of spots and wing markings to see if brown or black. In this case brown...cinnamon. Then your next thought is the colour you see would be twice that intensity if it werent cinnamon. If correct about the YF blue type 2 and I would say it is, then that means no greens from this breeding. All blue series. Edited August 16, 200817 yr by KAZ

August 16, 200817 yr thats great to know and yes neat I don't see any incorrect... Skye might be opaline as well but hard to tell.
August 16, 200817 yr That's right! oh yeah, I am good, ..... now, ... well sorta, .. oh yeah ! Doing the Neata Dance again .... Whooo Hooo It makes me happy that i can get them right when i get other wrong ... Nerwen Shhhh we won't tell the others about the opaline
August 16, 200817 yr Author thanks alot you guys Especially neat lol, YOU are funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 Also does anyone know what Rainbow and Teala are?And I have an olive coloured budgie with a yellow head anyone know what he might b he has black wing markings
August 16, 200817 yr Rainbow - yellowface type 2 skyblue pied. I'm leaning towards recessive pied but a picture of back might help. Teala - green cinnamon. What colour is the tail of this 'olive' bird. If blue then it is an olive which is a bird with two dark factors (green line) but if the tail is black then you would have a grey-green
August 17, 200817 yr yes he is a grey-green Rinbow is a recessive pied spangle and that last shot of Teala makes her a yellowface type 2 cinamon not green as i thought
August 17, 200817 yr Hi there could you please tell me what colored babies these two budgies will have. Also could you tell me what they are.... green budgie yellow head, purple and white budgie. Not very good with colours I'm going for the baby question Taken that the cock is a skyblue yellowface type II and the hen is a skyblue (or cobalt?) cinnamon (now, she might be an opaline too, I cannot say until I see her back) The babies would come out to be accordingly: 50.0% males: blue yellowface II /cinnamon 50.0% males: blue yellowface II Dominant pied /cinnamon 50.0% females: blue yellowface II 50.0% females: blue yellowface II Dominant pied And If the hen is also opaline all the male chicks would be split opaline as well as cinnamon. And if the hen is cobalt, half of the chicks would cobalts and half skyblues. Otherwise all the chicks will be skyblues. The blue colour is a bit hard to define from a photo when the basic colour is diluted by the cinnamon gene. But these are only the odds - they might end up with something totally different :hap: And yes, I used the genetic calculator Edited August 17, 200817 yr by falki
August 17, 200817 yr Author Thanks, It all so CONFUSING lol, Thanks anyway, she has two eggs at the moment its all just a waiting process, At the moment one of my budgies has 3 babies, another one has 5 eggs and then syd and angel with two,
