Feeding Station Set Up

Featured Replies

I use a wide flat dish for my seed so they can always get to the seed underneath and a slightly smaller one for my fruit/veg. For water I have a bird bath which sits higher than the seed so it doesn't get filled with husks, normally I only have to top it up and I give it a quick wash about once a week.

Very nice setup ;)

How do you keep the floor so clean - or is it new??

They seem to mainly poop in a line under a main branch, which I assume is mainly where they like to roost. I sweep the floor about onc a week, and being lino it is easily washed if it gets too bad. I have ahd it set up for about 6 weeks

I looked at the same bird bath the other day. Does the bowl screw on or does it just sit on it? I thought it would be to hard to clean if it screwed on, I'd end up with water everywhere unscrewing it

Looks great MB - I can't believe all those birds i reall y like that LARGE PINK BUDGIE :D

Yeah I like my pink budgie too :D I tried putting him in the aviary with the other galah and the corella and he got all stressed and started to loose weight, put him back with his little friends and he's back to his old self. I swear he thinks he's a budgie :)

Denise yes the top screws on but it is very stable and easy to unscrew as long as you have it on a flat/stable floor. I can unscrew it 3/4 full of water and not spill a drop :D

heyy mb looks great but you just have to make sure with the bath that chicks dont fallin it when they fledge and that you allways make sure that the pond is clean and they dont poo in it too much because youl find that your birds will drink from there aswell just make sure it dont get to durty i have the same pond thing but i put millet sprays and oats in there and they like it that way. lol have fun and i luv ur galah i think he thinks hes a budgi too lol anyways talk to you later.

bye

regards Joel

I don't have chicks in that aviary so no worries there ;) They don't seem to poop in it very often as it is well away from their perches in the flight area of the aviary. I wash it out once a week and more often if it needs it :)

I will have to take pics of mine but will have to wait till i re charge the batteries for the camera ( yay i found it )
