Hi a cooking apple tree resently fell over in my garden and its only going to be taken away and cut up so If it non toxic to Budgie's to use as perches I would use it

so I hope you can help me with this question

All Fruit Tree are safe from what I've read on here and been told ... I used Apple and pear at the moment ( the trees a bare lol )

so they are safe, if so what do I clean it with?

I give all my branches a blast with the hose and let the sun dry them out

I don't use any cleaning aids -

Its safe to use no problems

I take my branches and put them in the oven for 250F for about 20 minutes it kills all the bugs and then let it cool, make sure you stay in the kitchen when you do it, also the branches are safe as long as they have never been sprayed with pesticides.

Thanks I trimmed the branches off the tree and washed them with very hot water and then waited for them to dry

I caught them eating there veggie's too So lots of happyness in one day

At the moment I only feed sweetcorn, seed, millet and egg food but I'll soon try carrots

Oh and the runny poop that Sky gets from eating veggie's is that normal or should I stop feeding them to her?

ive been using cooking apple branches in my young budgies cage since i got him. he loves biteing it and chewing it and he has no health problems so im assuming that they are safe
