I dont watch afl much to be completley honest. I like Barry hall and I barrack for the lions but that is about it.

I prefer to watch rugby league or even union.

I am with you Pearce. The game for "men in boy-sized shorts and jersey designs from the 70's" is not a gmae for real men. AFL is more for the ladies as I see it - good looking men prancing up and down and jumping around a lot. The Swans play a more league-centred style, with emphasis on tackling, and look how well that is going now.

I prefer League over Union, Union over Aerial Ping Pong, Aerial Ping Pong over the A-League.

BudgieBuyer09 , if you are out there I am sure you would have an opinion on this.

Well, i prefer union over all of the above....and the barclays premier league, as for AFL, it was a great game back a few decades, but its more for the women now, like you said, rugby is getting too overrated, rules are changing much too often and its not as physical as it used to be...

I like league the best, followed closely by union, Then far behind comes afl.

I don't have anything against it, I just done like it. I feel their isnt enough tackling and not as much strength is required in afl.

My uncle is heavily into the afl and practically worships Geelong. I hope he doesnt come on here ;)

Oh please lets not kid ourselves... AFL is not a ladies game, it does require a lot of skill and is a great sport.

I think the biggest mistake people make is by comparing the sports.

To me Soccer is a great game to watch, sure it takes 90 minutes and at the end no one might of scored but it is still a great game to watch.

Then there is League. Again pretty good game. Lots of skill involved, the scrum in League has me a little confused but I'll still sit there and watch it over a TV series any day.

Union, in my opinion 1000 times better that League. Fantastic game. Requiring a lot of skill and fitness. I could watch that any day of the week.

Then there is Aussie Rules. Love that game too. Sure the shorts are a little to short but hey its a great game. I think with a few rule changes that they have made it is becoming a little soft but its still an extrememly intense sport played at an extremely fast pace. I took a Canadian friend to a game the other week and he was like, this seems like a game was modern but the outfits looked like they were from the 1800's...I told him he wasn't far wrong lol. He loved it though.

So basically what I would say is this, as long as you don't try comparing the different games called 'football' they can all be enjoyed.

It was the Football Heath. Friday Night Channel 9 ... I think. Wife had it on. Graet game.

I had 2 eggs laid 4 days ago from a hen in a holding cage. I put them in a bottle of seed in hope that the embryo would stay dormant until they were incubated.

Yesterday I put the eggs in a nest with a hen who already had 2 eggs. The hen kicked all 4 eggs out of the nest, and today she has laid another one.

Not too good.

Adding four all at once may have caused that. Why didnt you add two today and two in another day ?

no their were 2 eggs that the hen laid already and I added 2 of the fostered eggs.

Aha...she obviously resented the extra eggs.

if that is the case why would she throw her own eggs out also?

She objected to the disturbance...you can never tell with some hens. :D

In my opinion,I would't put a egg with a hen, that is still laying,if I could help it,

A hen that had only layed 2 eggs, would't be siting as yet,

Are budgies smart enough to lift a cage door, open it and escape?

Are budgies smart enough to lift a cage door, open it and escape?

Heck YES..........many of them do. One of my breeder cocks is regularly letting himnself out ion the breeding room if I dont lock down his sliding door. Others...hens mostly can lifrt the sliding door on nestboxes and let themselves out.

If you recall also JB just lost his baby budgie because it let itself out through a door of the cage.

Wow. I never knew they are smart enough to lift a cage door.

I've got a cage that a bird escaped from about 3 months ago. I do not know how, their are no holes, no gaps, width between wire is fine.

Today, Beaky escaped the cage. So the only way he could have is by lifting the cage door.

Going to go get some pegs.

I keep a whole pack of good quality clothes pegs in my birdroom for the escapees

I left the breeding room shed door open today while I went to work for more air flow and to keep it cool. You can guess the rest.

Too many people lose birds this way. All cages must have doors secured when in an open area.
