May 1, 200916 yr Also found aristo-pet avi-cal. Similar to calcivet. Have you ever used this? What is it like? Don't use avi-cal Pearce. I trialed it last year and calcium deficiency problems with it.
May 1, 200916 yr Author okay I thought so. Have not bought anything from aristopet so far that actually worked. Pet shop brand  Thanks Renee
May 2, 200916 yr okay I thought so.Have not bought anything from aristopet so far that actually worked. Pet shop brand Thanks Renee Stick with the Accessories Table at your local Budgie Club. They will be stocking products that experienced members use AND in most cases they sell things cheaper than pet shops. Also, if they have something you aren't familiar with you can always inquire on the spot about it.
May 5, 200916 yr Author I have a flight cage roughly 1 meter squared. It is used for the babies. I put 7 babies and 2 adults in their a few weeks ago. The adults were put in their because I wanted to give them a break before releasing them. The youngest baby in the cage is 45 days old. When should I release the adults? when should I release the babies? How long should the babies be left in the flight cage before being released into the aviary? They have plenty of flight space in the cage with acess to everything the aviary birds get. Its just easier for them to access. And I can moniter and give meds if needed.
May 5, 200916 yr I mostly keep the babies in the kindie cage inside my birdroom till their first moult or around that time. Some that are doing so very well go out in the aviary sooner.
May 5, 200916 yr My Nappy cage is 1800mm x 450mm x400mm it is three breeding cabinets with out the dividers. They stay in there untill they are at least 3 months olf and then go into a junior flight.
May 5, 200916 yr Daz do you have a picture... I was considering building one like that but couldn't figure out the best way to attach the cage fronts... (I am not a very handy handyman)
May 6, 200916 yr Author okay thanks all I will leave the babies until 3 months and release the parents today.
May 6, 200916 yr Author It looks like one of the babies has french moult. 2 I think just have stress moult because they just lost their 2 long flight feathers, but one has lost his tail aswell. It seems that 1 out of 2 birds comes out with a problem at my place.
May 8, 200916 yr Author tried making egg and biscuit today. Did not go as expected. It looks like a battlefield, with black craters.

May 9, 200916 yr football. Rugby Pearce - Football should never be used the same sentance as rugby. 2 completely different games, football (commonly referred to aussie rules) is a game requiring great skill and talent, and is a pleasure to watch. And then there is Rugby which is none of the above
