August 8, 200817 yr I think basically all of us have had trouble with them from when we're just learning Remember the rules from now on, Grey greens have grey cheek patches with a black tail tip and Olives have blue cheek patches with a blue tail tip That's what I was told when i learnt

Maybe 18 months. Any legrings ??
August 8, 200817 yr So does that mean that Humprhey is an olive bird? he has a blue tail and is not the light green that others are. Look at the green bird behind in the picture below. I always though he might have a dark factor gene, but if what you say about the tail is true, then he must be an olive bird, I am going to have to check his tail tomorrow. I might be wrong.

August 8, 200817 yr With him, I would try him if the eggs are clear I would then wait 3 months - As a budgies Iris ring are large and white from 8 months old - So he could very well be 8months old or 1, 2 year AT least then after the 3 month wait, he would be 12 months minimum -
August 8, 200817 yr They are a nice addition Olives have dark blue/purple cheek patches and black-blue tails. Grey-greens have silver grey patches and black tails. This is the difference. I agree Kaz and the others said about the mutation .
