if theyve mated does that mean theres a chance of chicks they've mated once that I no of and attempted I was going to take Bailey out because he wouldnt leave her alown but he's sort of calmed down. I was worried he'd stess her out, but they seem fine now.

 

Budgie sperm lasts about 3 weeks or so, and one mating is all that is needed for an entire clutch (just dont tell the hens the boys secret )

 

If they are going to be a breeding pair, they need to be compatible and together. She cant do it on her own.

 

and how long does it take for a egg to form I looked at Sky today and she looks huge by her vent and I was worried if they did and she had a egg but was eggbound

is that two days she doesnt have a nest box because I havent moved her into her breeding cage so what can she lay if she does have egg bum

If she is going to lay and there is no box, then she will just do it off the perch - there is no harm in her doing that.

Are you sure she has an egg bum? normally without a box they mate without producing eggs, but it does happen. How are her poos??

there normal looking but a little runny, like wet if that explains I've seen her strain when she poops but I'm not sertain about her having an egg because Ive only seen them mate proply once and then the rest Bailey just fell off or didnt do it right somtimes she invites him too

I have a picture but its not clear so yeah, im not so sure

and i think sky is about 2 or 1

Are her poos Larger then Normal - this is a sign too !

She does look at bit large there But would need a better picture like the others have said.

Also take the flash off, and use a light or natural night

It looked like that a few days ago,but today nothing and her poops were largeish compared to Bailey's but today she's fine and dandy no huge butt just normal.
