first chicks

Featured Replies

hello everyone.i have some terrible news. i was out the house for three hours and left a very healthy ron and reg. when i returned ron was dead lying at the bottom of the cage. am shocked, he was eating out my hand only a few hours earlier.so out the clutch of four only reg is left, i will be scared to come home from work. on a slightly brighter note jock is sitting on another three eggs, billy has paired up with judy and is sitting on five and the other pair are on two.

Julie

oh thats terrible news.

was just looking at the lovely pics and then that news.... sorry about that dutchman

That must have been very upsetting for you. I'm sorry to hear it. Did you take him to the vets to find the cause of death?

hi everyone. no rainbow i did not take him/her to the vet although i was currious of cause. i have been to my local pet shop today and got a young yellow male about the same age as reg, oh the pet shop owner told me reg is a boy. he also says he can take the chicks off me if i end up with to many. If anyone would like to see photos go to phot bucket, my users name is-steve99hilversum, and the password is rangers. the 3rd photo is the new bird and reg. there is one of jock one of thomas and billy on a perch and e few of the other birds.

can anyone tell me if this is normal.jock and thomas are now well into there second clutch ''first egg due to hatch about sunday''. but it seems that thomas is in the nest box more than jock, even overnight. in the first clutch he hardly went near the nest box ?
