Hey everyone, i took some pictures of my two chicks this afternoon, here they are.

The older one is around 3 weeks and the younger id say around 2 weeks, does that sound about right by their pictures?

Do they look okay?

Thanks Heaps :)

They look fine Briony but they arent that old...the eldest would be around 2 weeks maximum and maybe less.

okay cool, thanks Kaz. :)

I was so worried when i picked them up that i would hurt them, they are so little heehee.

The older one has its eyes opened and all, was pretty cool to see.

Also what can i do about the nest box? its pretty messy in there should i clean it out or just leave it untill the chicks leave it?

Thanks Again :)

When you handle them try and do it near the nestbox and not take them away or for too long or the mum will get upset. You can add some wood shavings to the nestbox at this stage.

I was next to the cage so mum could see me, i wouldnt want her going off them.. wood shavings like what youd put ina guinea pigs cage?

Thanks

As long as they don't have a strong wood smell they should be fine if they have been made for animals :P Have a sniff of them before you put it in though :D
