What Would You Do?

hey all quick question

what would you do if your hen bird decided that it was better for her to lay at the end of the nestbox with the entrance hole?

I had this happen many years ago and the bubs ended up with splayed legs as she jumped on top of them every time she re-entered the nestbox.

Any thoughts

Thanks

I* haave a hen that does that now all i did was get an empty smoke pkt the cardboard type which i had trouble getting as there are no smokers in our house but i just put that at the end of the nesting box she then keeps the eggs and young down the other end hope that helps

Great Idea .

yeah it does have the concave my boxes are the standard you get from the pet store. Landscape style i would call them.

Will try the smoke packet trick and let you know how it goes

update on my troublesome hen. I tried the smoke packet and she thought it would make nice for some extra padding. So i remove it and move the cage and for some reason she moved to the proper end of the box. Obviously it had to do with the amount of light entering the box. Might have a bird that is affraid of the dark hehe.

all is good now and starting to settle down for babies (i hope, fingers crossed)
