Posted July 31, 200816 yr Hi All, I am looking for a new house for my little one. I found a couple on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/OPEN-TOP-BLACK-or-W...1742.m153.l1262 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/OPEN-TOP-ELEGANT-PA...1742.m153.l1262 However the bar spacing is 1.6cm. I have one budgie and not sure if that spacing is too big? If there is anyone that knows of a good shop in Perth WA or website that ships to Perth WA that sells safe and nice indoor budgie cages please let me know. All of the ones I have found so far in shops are plastic and really small. Any suggestions are appreciated
July 31, 200816 yr Those are really parrot or weiro ( tiel ) cages and you dont need open top ones for budgies. Best cage for a budgie is wider rather than taller so they can fly across the cage from perch to perch. The best kind is rectangular but wider rather than tall. Unfortunately most practical and best cages for budgies are the decorative and pretty ones. Here is a cage article we did recently. http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....showtopic=17858 Bar spacing should be around 12mm.
