Breeding Season

I've got a beautiful pair of Princess Parrots, then a colleague at work asked me to adopt a couple of her mothers birds.

I bring home this beautiful large Princess Parrot female in perfect condition - this birds' name is Monty. My female Princess Parrot (name Princess with whom I am wonderfully original with names) has a hip problem and I am not overly keen on breeding her (a breeder friend is going to inspect her when she collects the aviary) so I put Monty and Prince together to bond.

This is the happy couple, Monty on the left and Prince on the right:

Tonight I find out through breeder friends that Monty is a boy! Can't expect 2 boys to breed for me now, can I? :D

Hopefully I'll have better luck with this pair - I know they are a proper pair!

Ummm, unless he is young Monty looks like a girl to me. The males develop little bits on the end of their main flight feathers and the one on the right definately doesn't have them, can't see the ones on the left bird.

Has Monty got them too? Certainly colour wise they could both be boys, they are nice and bright over the bum.

Both boys then :D

They look totally different, I know the same breed but one has a thinner neck and they other one is thicker. What colour are their iris rings???My Mate has them Boys are orange and the Girls is more of a browny color

Der neat lol, I didn't even notice on that picture ... Well there you go .... Boys :D I'm better late then never :D ....

So the 2 year difference is what I can see with their head / neck shape then ....

Still they are very nice, Too big for me lol I will stick with my little ones :hap:
