Posted July 30, 200816 yr Hi everyone, i was going thought my shed the other day and a cabinate thing, would just like your opinion on turning it in to some breeding cages, the dinensions are 90cm wide 90cm tall and 40cm deep with the boxes being on the outside how many can it be made in to? i was thinking 2
July 30, 200816 yr I agree you could turn the top two into cabinets. What has been spilled on the shelves??? You will need to give it a very good clean and air before to make sure there is no chemical residue. Otherwise i think it would be great
July 30, 200816 yr I would say you could make 2. The recommended measurements for a breeding cage are 600 long x 450 high by 350 depth (measurements in metric millimeters)
July 30, 200816 yr I would take the shelves out and put one of the shelves back in the centre to make two larger compartments.
July 30, 200816 yr Author I would take the shelves out and put one of the shelves back in the centre to make two larger compartments. Thats what i was thinking as well, am not sure what was spilled on the shelves, it hasn't been used in about a year and it has no smell to it. I will give it a good scrub and I always line my cages with newspaper cause it makes them easier to clean. Thanks for that guys i'll let you know how it turns out :hap:
December 3, 200816 yr Yes you could use that. Thats how I make most of my breeding cages. I buy old cabinets and make them myself, its cheaper in the end. Good luck
December 3, 200816 yr She already finished it Pearce, check out the link in Liv's post above your one
December 3, 200816 yr Don't worry I shouldn't of revivied it :raincloud: But hey there is a wealth of information in some of these old threads...
December 3, 200816 yr I say you can use it for sure!! It's amazing what you can do with furniture. I built a small aviary out of an old dresser. The only thing I needed to do was create better ventalation. Good luck I think it would work just fine for you.
December 4, 200816 yr I asked this on the other thread but figured you might not see it so... Do they fly into the perspex at all? It looks great, just wondering if they did in the begining ot anything?
