Hi everyone,

My name is Aimee and I am a stay at home mum of 4 human children. I also run a rescue for unwanted Pet Rats, its sad that so many animals are uncared for.

Anyway we are also owned by one Budgie, he does not have a name yet since he actually chose us about 10 days ago. He was sitting in our driveway chirping at my husband, we assume he had been lost by someone as his wings had been clipped and he is fairly friendly. So we are now on the job of researching and finding how best to care for our new little charge, our kids absolutely love him and although i am not overly confident around birds (just a thing with me) I am hoping he can help me get over my fear.

Anyway i will post my questions in the appropriate place soon.

Thanks for having me around :hap:

Aimee

We have checked with people around us but no one claimed him :hap: pretty sad for the little guy.

He actually had me going next door to get him because he did not want to go to hubby although that is who he originally showed himself to. I had to use a towel as i was unsure if he was a biter or not but apparently someone has spent a little time trying to tame him. He is not overly confident with us but is getting there :hap:

that is sad :( Sometimes the novelty can ware off and people let them go

I am so pleased he found you to love and care for him :D

What colour is he???

Thanks for the warm welcome girls (an guys if there are any),

I am most peoples worst nightmare when it comes to any animal that i own. I have to know everything, what to do and what not to and the reason why. Sorry if this annoys anyone but i can not stand it when animals are not looked after properly, generally ignorance is the reason animals get neglected

Hi and Welcome :(

He is lovely, he doesn't look clipped  .

You can put up a FOUND BUDGIE poster with your contact No on it do not describe the budgie though let the person that calls you describe it

That way you know it is their's for real ...

I look forward to reading your posts
