We miss our pidgey.. but I saw these two in a pet store I went into, (yes I know), and I just had to get them. They seemed to be quite close so I just couldn't separate them and ended up getting both. The blue green one with the yellow face is called Mochi and the cremino is called mango. If anyone wants to hazard a guess at the mutations in mochi.. be my guest because I don't know where to start!

If I had to guess i'd say mochi is a male and mango could also be male..but..since everyone is so much better than I am at telling sexes i'll see what you all think .

 

 

 

 

 

 

I would guess yellow face blue clearwing for Mochi. Also personally I would clip those last flight feathers off the wings, they just increase the chance of broken feathers if you ask me.

They are cute, they are sibling (most likely) and they are both boys .

 

Mochi, looks like a yellow face 2 dominant pied dilute (he looks opaline in the first picture but I am unsure)

Mango does he have red eyes? I can't tell from the picture.

 

Here is why I don't say clearwing:

Clearwing budgies have very light or no markings on head and wings and the body color is brightened (not lightened or diluted). Dilute budgies are washed out all over. The head and wing markings are very light, and the body color is about 80% diluted (washed out).

can't help with mutation but they are just gorgeous and I can see why you couldn't seperate them!

Yup, mango has red eyes. They've already found out the joys of millet.

 

I was wondering about the feathers.. I knew i should have taken them to the vet instead of getting them clipped in the store. I guess i'll ask him to do it when I get them checked up.

Both boys and out of the same nest I would say. Very young too.

Very cute can see why you came home with them. Glad to know they are getting a vet check. Also talk to the vet about what MB said about the wings. I have had one that came to me with wings clipped like that she within a few days she had broken both of them off and I had a bleeding Budgie issue. Now when I clip wings I clip them all and have never had an issue but it is a personal thing.
