I have a hen who laid 2 clutches last year, first was mid year and she laid 6 eggs and smashed them after 8 days. I rested her until the end of the year and again she laid 4 eggs and sat for 10 days and smashed them again.

I put her down with a proven cock at the end of June and she has laid 4 eggs this time but she doesn't move/roll them around the nest box she has just sat on them - they are all clear. Do I give up on her or keep trying? She is an early 06 hen.

I probably would have given up on her if me, but them I have many other birds to try
